Project Proposal


  1. What I will be reading and focusing for the historical aspect of my assignment?
    1. I’d be reading the Things they carried by Tim O'brien, focussing on post world war 1 combat and lives of soldiers out of combat.
  2. What evidence of social injustice, tolerance, and propaganda will I look at? How does it relate to my studies of the Holocaust?
    1. For the us to succeed in the vietnam war, we had to consume an extreme amount of resources, send out all of our best  young adults (the draft)  to maximize combat effectiveness, and hid some of the gruesome aspects of the war from the general public.
  3. Who are you highlighting as an everyday hero? For what reasons?
    1. i will be highlighting soldiers who serve in uniform in the present, and those who have served in the past, especially if they aren't here to witness how far we’ve moved forward in warfare today.
  4. What will be your service learning project and how will it fill the 6 hour requirement?
    1. I will be Organizing a dinner for the veterans of Telluride with Quillen and anyone else doing the Vietnam war
  5. What is your literary assignment in terms of reading and focus?
    1. I Will be reading The things we carried which The life of a vietnam soldier in combat, out of combat, and coming home.
